Gymbox is London’s original challenger gym.
Born in a time where all the fitness industry offered were sterile clubs and cookie-cutter work-outs, its bold copy-driven marketing cut through London’s expectations and swiftly defined the brand.
As brand guardian, I’ve been challenged to dig deep for the silliest/snappiest copy of my career to amplify their cheeky personality in an increasingly crowded market.
I’ve helped them hijack Google searches. I wrote an infamous “bus ad”.
Oh and I’ve written puns.

Internal branding
I love nothing more than leaving a brand’s sticky little fingerprints over everything - that goes for internal comms and employer branding just as much as ATL.
Out of home
From big old billboards to rogue guerrilla marketing, few do Out Of Home quite like Gymbox…

TOILETRIES PROJECT
“We want a line of toiletries that’s Gymboxy but not Gymbox. Any thoughts?” Knowing how most other London gyms like to offer their spa-like experience, I came up with the most on-brand brand possible.
